Classes just for kids & teens

While young students are welcome in almost all of our standard classes, we wanted to create a class just for our young aerialists to just be kids! Perfect for young students ages 8-15, this class uses group exercises and stretches focused on engaging kids, and working on skills specific to young aerialists, like strength and stability, and maintaining control over their flexibility.

We will be building on our fundamental skills from 101, introducing more challenging maneuvers, controlled drops, and next-level material.

This is a 201 level class, so certain prerequisite skills must be demonstrated for the instructors to join. These include:

• Dancer/pike/straddle/pike/dancer sequence

• X pullover and rise up from a seat

• Hold a pencil for 5 seconds

• Thigh hitch/standing arabesque

• Waist belay/bridge

• ½ cross back straddle without guidance(georgia twist)

• dive (360 drop) controlled with stop, elevated sling

• Walking man with a level rear leg

• Minimum 6 months / 20 classes experience

• Inversion from a stand in the sling, (can be bent legged), hold 3 counts, slide to loop

  Students can only re-test every 2 months!

This class caps at 8, allowing for 1 student per silk sling. Occasional variations in apparatus set-up and spotting requirements may limit how many students are in the air at once. To manage a class of young students, this class has an additional assisting Instructor.

This class is for Junior students, ages 8-15

A split fabric class especially for our young aerialists!

While young students are welcome in almost all of our standard classes, we wanted to create a class just for our young aerialists! Perfect for young students ages 11-17, this class focuses on engaging young aerial students, and working on skills specific to young aerialists, like strength and stability, and maintaining control over their flexibility.

Learn all the basics and core manuevers and skills on split silks!

This 101 class is BEGINNER level, no experience necessary!

This class is for Junior students, ages 11-15

This class caps at 7, and works on multiple shared aparatus.

We’re bringing you this special class just for kids and their adults!

Whether you’re an aerial kid bringing your favorite adult in to join you, an adult student with a curious young family member looking to try it out themselves, or an intergenerational duo looking to explore aerials together, this class is just for you!

Registration is PER DUO: only one of your team need register for class! Apparatus will be shared between you, and class will be taught subjectively based on everyone’s’ experience (or in-experience) level! We’ll be exploring Silk Sling, Split Fabric, Lyra, Dance Trapeze and other specialty apparatus.

Please note that while we welcome non-guardian adult family members to this class, ALL MINORS MUST HAVE WAIVERS SIGNED BY THEIR LEGAL GUARDIAN TO PARTICIPATE! If you are an older sibling, aunt/uncle, etc, be sure to have your young guest’s legal guardian create an account in our system, whereby they will sign a waiver for their child electronically.

Please note that our Junior Aerialists’ Performance Sessions are structured differently than they have been in the past! Please read our details below:

This class starts as weekly 2 hour sessions in September, progressing to 1.5 hour sessions in October, then 1 hour sessions in November.

There will be a dress rehearsal for both the group routine and solo routines the Friday before the first show.

If your child is looking to develop a separate solo or duet with a friend, these will not be worked on during these sessions. Please see an instructor regarding our open studio coaching sessions to help them develop their individual routines!

Our showcase will run for two Sundays in a row: Sunday, November 30th and the following Sunday, December 7.

The Juniors’ Aerial showcase performance class will run for 10 weeks (November 9th there will be no class). Students can miss 2 sessions before they may not be able to catch up. We understand unforeseen circumstances and illnesses occur- if your student needs to withdraw from sessions due to excessive absences, the studio can refund remaining sessions as an equivalent value of standard class sessions to your account.

The cost of the 10 week session is $350 as one payment.

Unlike our standard classes, no continued registration is necessary! Once you purchase this course, your child is automatically enrolled and the course will appear in their “upcoming schedule” every Sunday in their dashboard!
