About our class levels...
“Tech” A Tech class will break down the technical maneuvers piece by piece, with special attention to proper form, technique, muscle engagement, adaptations and variations. If pole and aerial dance are a language, think of tech as learning your basic vocabulary words and grammar.
“Flow” A Flow class will take maneuvers and create transitions between them, creating a sequence of maneuvers that can be danced through. The goal is to move through the sequence to music, but not to necessarily hit all the same marks as everyone else, moving at your own pace. The music could change, and you could still run through your flow! There may even be opportunities to customize and create your own personal movement variations, and even improv a little when you’re comfortable. If aerial and pole dancer a language, think of Flow as learning conversational phrases.
“Choreography” Moving on from Flow, Choreography aims to set a sequence to music with the goal of hitting precise marks in sync with your peers. Variations/adaptations are less common, timing of movements becomes very specific with practice, with the goal of performing a finished routine, possibly in a group. The dance routine fits precisely with a specific musical number. If aerial and pole dance is a language, Choreography is a stage-play.

Open Studios
This is UNINSTRUCTED, 2 hour monitored aerial studio time. This studio time is reserved for current students to review and practice what they've learned in class, to work on personal and group projects, stretch, de-stress and get some quality time in on their favorite aerial apparatus at their own pace!
Apparati such as straps, double-sling and cloud swing that require greater than average space for safety's-sake will be hung only if the monitor finds allowable space. The instructor will hang all apparati requested! For safety reasons, only studio-owned apparati may be hung. Sign-up is for a hangpoint; if you are working with a partner on a single hangpoint you may sign up under one person to reserve a hangpoint.
Please note that this open studio is for current students, or those students with at least intro-level aerial experience through a professional instructor. Dangerous or harmful practices, teaching other students, and newcomers without professional training may not attend.
This session is open-level, great for beginners and intermediate students alike!

This is also where you will cancel your attendance if needed.
Pay close attention to special instructions and prerequisite skill requirements, as these may vary from workshop to workshop.
Please also note that outside apparati (note owned/purchased by the studio or visiting instructor) are not permitted at the studio for safety and insurance reasons.
